1. GENERAL TERMS

1.1. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) represent the entire agreement between you (“the Customer”) and R&D Technologies (Pty) Ltd (“Randd Technologies”), and no alterations or additions shall be valid unless reduced to writing and signed by both parties.

1.2. By placing an order with Randd Technologies, you agree that the transaction will be governed by the version of these Terms in force at the time of ordering.

1.3. These Terms are final and binding and are not subject to any suspensive or dissolutive condition.

1.4. These Terms supersede and expressly override any conflicting terms submitted by the Customer.

1.5. These Terms apply to all customers, employees, contractors, technicians, agents and representatives of Randd Technologies.

1.6. Randd Technologies reserves the right to refuse service to any individual or entity at its sole discretion.

2. QUOTATIONS

2.1. All quotations are valid for 7 (seven) calendar days from the date of issue.

2.2. Quotations are subject to availability of stock and may be withdrawn or amended without notice prior to acceptance.

3. PAYMENT OPTIONS & TERMS

3.1. Randd Technologies accepts the following payment methods:

• Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, American Express)

• Debit Cards (ABSA, Standard Bank, Nedbank, FNB, Capitec)

• EFT, Happy Pay & FlexiPay

• Cash Deposits

• SnapScan
• 3.2. For COD or payment plan options, you must contact 021 879 5549 prior to booking.
• 3.3. You are responsible for ensuring that the products ordered are suitable for your intended use. Please contact us for assistance if unsure.
• 3.4. No order is binding until accepted by management of Randd Technologies.
  
• 3.5. All orders must be paid in full before shipment or installation.
• 3.6. Where applicable, prices may change due to exchange rate fluctuations. The Customer is responsible for checking updated pricing before payment.
• 3.7. Until payment is received in full, Randd Technologies reserves the right to apply price adjustments due to currency changes.
• 4. CREDIT CARD SECURITY
• 4.1. Credit card transactions are processed via Paystack, who use SSL3 encryption. No card details are stored on our websites/systems
• 5. SHIPPING CHARGES
• 5.1. Shipping fees will be displayed at checkout/ quotation.
• 5.2. Certain remote areas may incur additional courier fees. These will be communicated prior to shipping.
• 6. DELIVERY
• 6.1. Any delivery note or waybill signed by you or your representative constitutes proof of delivery.
• 6.2. Goods must be inspected upon delivery. Visible defects or discrepancies must be noted on the delivery note.
• 6.3. Randd Technologies may split deliveries if required, with reasonable notice.
• 6.4. If you engage your own courier, you indemnify Randd Technologies from all related claims.
• 6.5. Randd Technologies will endeavour to meet delivery times but shall not be liable for delays beyond its reasonable control.
• 7. PRICING
• 7.1. Prices, specifications and terms are subject to change at any time.
• 7.2. The price charged will be the one valid at the time of order placement.
• 7.3. If any tax, duty, or cost increases prior to delivery, Randd Technologies may adjust pricing with reasonable notice.
• 8. DEPOSITS & ORDER CANCELLATIONS
• 8.1. Order cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
• 8.2. Special-order or custom-manufactured items cannot be refunded once a deposit is paid.
• 8.3. Randd Technologies may cancel orders where stock becomes unavailable or circumstances arise beyond our control.
• 8.4. To the extent allowed by law, cancellations may incur a 20% handling fee.
• 9. PROCESSING TIMES
• 9.1. Orders are processed within 1–5 business days, excluding weekends and public holidays.
• 9.2. Randd Technologies does not guarantee same-day shipping.
• 10. WARRANTIES
• 10.1. All products carry the manufacturer’s warranty only.
• 10.2. Your entitlement is limited to requiring Randd Technologies to enforce such warranty with the manufacturer.
• 10.3. Warranty is void if:
• • Products are used contrary to instructions
• • Damaged by misuse, neglect, tampering or unauthorised repairs/installations
• • Not accompanied by proof of purchase
• 11. INSTALLATIONS 
• 11.1 Customer Responsibilities
• 11.1.1. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that all plumbing and electrical points are fully accessible before installation.
• 11.1.2. Any concealed pipes, inlets, wiring, or structural obstructions must be disclosed prior to booking.
• 11.1.3. Installation requiring tile removal, drilling, or structural modification will only proceed with written approval.
• 11.2 Call-Out Fees
• 11.2.1. A R400 call-out fee applies once technicians arrive on-site, irrespective of whether installation can proceed.
• 11.2.2. If installation cannot proceed due to undisclosed or inaccessible plumbing or electrical conditions, the call-out fee remains payable.
• 11.3 Cancellations
• 11.3.1. Same-day cancellations or rescheduling trigger a R350 penalty fee.
• 11.3.2. Cancellations must be done at least 12 hours prior to the appointment.
• 11.4 Guarantees
• 11.4.1. Installations by Randd Technologies or a qualified electrician carry a 1-year installation guarantee.
• 11.4.2. Guarantee excludes:
• • Damaged units due to negligence
• • Incorrect usage
• • Plumbing work associated with shower creation (pipes, taps, plumbing not guaranteed)
• 11.5 Payments
• 11.5.1. Installation fees must be paid in full immediately after or prior to installation.
• 11.5.2. Payment plans must be arranged before appointments.
• 11.6 Staff Protection
• 11.6.1. Randd Technologies may withdraw technicians if subjected to abuse, threats, or unsafe conditions.
• 11.6.2. In such cases, call-out fees still apply.
• 12. RETURNS
• 12.1. You may return goods only if:
• • Within 7 days under the ECT Act; or
• • Within warranty period if defective; or
• • Delivered in error by Randd Technologies.
• 12.2. Randd Technologies is not required to accept returns where goods have been:
• Disassembled
• Altered
• Installed or affixed
• Combined with other systems
• 12.3. Returns must be pre-authorised via email or online form.
• 12.4. Customers must use reputable carriers and bear the cost of return shipping unless Randd Technologies is at fault.
• 12.5. Returned products must be complete and in resalable condition.
• 12.6. Randd Technologies may charge a restocking or handling fee up to 20%.
• 13. REPAIRS
• 13.1. Repair timeframes are estimates.
• 13.2. Randd Technologies is not liable for delays beyond its control.
• 13.3. Items not collected within 30 days after repair completion may be sold to recover costs.
• 14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
• 14.1. Randd Technologies is not liable for loss or damage arising from:
•  Circumstances beyond its control
•  Consequential or incidental loss
•  Customer misuse, incorrect installation, or failure to disclose site conditions
• 15. SERVICE ADDRESS
• Your delivery address on the quotation is the chosen address for legal notices.
• 16. TITLE & RISK
• Risk transfers to you upon delivery to the carrier (FOB shipping point).

• 18. JURISDICTION
• These Terms are governed by South African law and the jurisdiction of South African courts.
• 19. PRIVACY
• Randd Technologies respects your privacy. We will not under any circumstances sell or release your information to anyone. All of the information obtained from our website will be used for processing only. The only e-mails which you will receive from Randd Technologies are updates to any recent orders unless you have indicated otherwise in your preferences. For the purpose of this clause, ‘personal information’ shall be defined as detailed in the promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).
• 20. PRODUCT LISTINGS, REVIEWS & COMPETITIONS
• You may enter the online competitions hosted by our website if you are a natural persons over the age of 18 (eighteen) years and currently residing in South Africa (being a resident or citizen); but will be excluded from entering if you are a director, partner, employee, agent, service provider, and consultant of Randd Technologies, the sponsor or affiliated to its subsidiaries and its holding company, if any, or if you are the spouse, life partner, parent, child, sibling, business partner and associate of such persons.

The prize and steps required to accept the offer/participate in the completion will be posted on the website www.randd-technologies.co.za or relevant social media pages, which will also reflect the entry period. Any entries received thereafter will not be considered for the competition draw.

The outcome of the competition is subject to the decision of the judge, whose decision is final and no negotiation will be entered into thereafter.

Randd Technologies reserves the right to redistribute all unclaimed prizes if not claimed after 3 (three) months after being given away on the website. Prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.

Randd Technologies and their sponsors reserve the right to cancel, modify or amend the competition at any time if deemed necessary in their opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of their control.

By entering the competition, you agree to accept the competition rules and to be bound by them.

• 21. CPA COMPLIANCE CLAUSE
• Limits or excludes any warranty or obligations which are implied by the Consumer Protection Act (to the extent applicable) or which Randd Technologies gives under the Consumer Protection Act (to the extent applicable), to the extent that the law does not allow them to be limited or excluded.
• Does or purports to limit or exempt a party from any liability, including (without limitation) for any loss directly or indirectly attributable to the gross negligence of such party or any person acting for or controlled by such party, to the extent that the law does not allow such limitation or exemption
• 22. CUSTOMER DISCLOSURE CLAUSE 
• The Customer confirms that all installation conditions, including plumbing and electrical accessibility, have been truthfully disclosed. Failure to disclose relevant site conditions may result in additional charges, refusal of service, or cancellation fees.
